About me
I am a Specialist Sleep Practitioner, having completed a Sleep Action Sleep Counselling qualification in 2024. I am also a qualified primary school teacher with a BSc in Psychology.
Before joining Sleep and Therapy Services I taught in mainstream primary schools for over 15 years; in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2. I have extensive experience of working with children with additional needs and regularly worked in collaboration with a range of professionals to provide the best outcomes for children. I value the importance of working with parents and carers effectively to tailor support to the needs of the whole family.
Prior to teaching I worked as a coordinator within the NHS, supporting smooth communication between specialists. This provided me with invaluable experience of coordinating care for patients with complex needs.
Sleep is a special interest of mine having experienced sleep difficulties with both of my children. I have personal experience of the negative impact of sleep deprivation and look forward to working with you to improve your child’s sleep.
